Fully integrated asset management
University of Potsdam
Fully integrated asset management
The University of Potsdam is the largest university in the state of Brandenburg. Around 22,000 students are enrolled on over one hundred degree programmes in five faculties.
In the 20 years of its existence, the university has quadrupled the number of students.
University Building Management Potsdam (HGP) requires an integrated, customisable and expandable asset management system for its university division. The system must be able to map all business processes and manage the growing portfolio of buildings and facilities.
SPIE RODIAS introduced an asset management solution with the integration of a facility management solution. With the first installation, areas such as inventory management and accounting were brought together. This solution has become the basis for all work processes in the University of Potsdam area of the HGP. Numerous customised masks and additional applications were newly developed for the University of Potsdam.
With this solution, the HGP has a homogeneous overall system with which all business processes in asset and facility management for the University of Potsdam can be mapped.
The customisation or new development of applications is made possible with easy-to-learn, integrated tools. In addition, work productivity is increased through the multiple reuse of data that has been entered once in different applications.
