For wind and weather
GLOBAL TECH I OFFSHORE WIND GMBH
in wind and weather
Global Tech I Offshore Wind GmbH operates a far-offshore wind farm in the North Sea around 130 km from the coast.
80 wind turbines have been erected here on the 41 km² area.
Around 40 people are responsible for the operation and maintenance of the platform.
Offshore wind turbines are exposed to North Sea environmental conditions such as salty air and water, moisture, currents and heavy seas. Short response times for service calls in addition to regular maintenance are essential to minimize possible downtimes.
An enterprise asset management system is essential to provide qualified support for the planning, execution and documentation of the maintenance of the systems.
During the construction phase, Global Tech I worked with a very compact maintenance system that only met the minimum requirements.
The new EAM system increases transparency at Global Tech I by enabling the evaluation of maintenance costs and faults. In addition, documentation can be created that is suitable for the authorities and provides evidence of the relevant maintenance work for the stability of the systems.
