Ready for dismantling
ENBW Kernkraft GmbH
fit for dismantling
EnBW is one of the largest energy supply companies in Germany and Europe. With around 27,000 employees, the company supplies 5.5 million customers with electricity, gas, water and energy-related products and services.
As part of the energy transition, Germany has decided to phase out nuclear power by 2022. The operation and residual operation as well as decommissioning and dismantling of the five nuclear power plants are in the hands of the subsidiary, EnBW Kernkraft GmbH (EnBW).
EnBW Kernkraft GmbH (EnKK).
In order to cope with the tasks involved in dismantling nuclear facilities, the operators had to prepare for changed or new core processes. In this context, the supporting IT systems, which were previously orientated towards the requirements of power operation, also had to be adapted, further developed or supplemented accordingly.
As a solution, the ‘EnKK ReVK’ development project was launched together with RODIAS GmbH.
The centralised management of operational residual material and waste tracking creates a high level of transparency across EnKK’s entire dismantling project; the maintenance effort compared to application-specific, redundant data storage is reduced many times over.
